January 2010 - Maine Renewable Awarded $1,000,000 Grant from Efficiency Maine Trust for Development of Combined Heat and Power Facility -Maine Renewable is the recipient of one of 16 grants awarded by the Maine Public Utility Commission’s (PUC) Efficiency Maine Trust program for industrial projects designed to save energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and employ Maine workers. The Maine Renewable award of $1 million was part of a total of $8.9 million distributed by the PUC through a competitive proposal process. <<full press release>>
September 2009 - Maine Renewable and Hannaford's Supermarket enter agreement to advance engineering and analysis for the sale and purchase of thermal and electrical energy for Hannaford's Distribution Center in South Portland, Maine
